Modern Slavery Act Statement
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54, Part 6 of the United Kingdom Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”) and sets out the steps that Synack, Inc. (“Synack”) has taken to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within its business or supply chain. The Act was created to define the opposition to modern slavery and human trafficking in the UK, and requires businesses subject to the Act to publish an annual statement.
Synack is the premier security testing platform, harnessing a vetted community of diverse and talented security researchers to deliver continuous and on-demand penetration testing and vulnerability management. Synack’s employees and security researchers are located in over 40 countries, including the United Kingdom.
We believe we have appropriate policies in place that underpin our commitment to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We also ensure that all of our business partners take the same zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in their supply chains and business.
Our policies include:
- Whistleblowing Policy: all Synack employees are encouraged to alert Synack if they become aware of another employee who is doing something that is illegal, in breach of regulation or any other serious form of misconduct or dishonesty.
- Code of Conduct Policy: all Synack personnel must agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct Policy. The policy is designed to create a culture of ethics and integrity and to facilitate compliance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which Synack operates.
- Procurement Policy: all Synack employees are required to follow Synack’s supplier onboarding policies prior to engaging new corporate vendors. This includes reviews by representatives of Synack’s legal, finance and management teams.
In addition to these policies, Synack has rolled out modern slavery training for those employees most likely to interact with any supply chains with a higher risk of encountering modern slavery. The training focuses on identifying, mitigating and monitoring risk of modern slavery in Synack’s supply chain.
This statement was approved by Synack’s board of directors on August 18, 2023.
